About the position
You will bring your expertise and join the R&D team to gather and refine requirements by identifying user & stakeholder needs, validating assumptions & translating them into actionable designs.
You’ll be working on our render manager - the software that turns artists’ work files into the images seen on the silver screen.
The role involves designing for both web and Qt interfaces in a cross-platform environment. We use Figma to create prototypes, discuss ideas with stakeholders, and hand over designs to developers. We also use Jira for project management and Miro for concepts & workshops. Testing is done together as a team in our staging environments to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for our users.
The contract is for 6 months, with opportunity to extend. The position is fully remote, with the possibility of working from our amazing Stockholm office. You must be based in Sweden.
Your work will include:
Taking on complex problems and concepts and transforming them through the design process into intuitive and easy to use software
Navigating the UX processes and its connection to development in complex solutions
Gathering & refining requirements by identifying user & stakeholder needs closely with product management, validating assumptions and translating them into actionable designs such as use case diagrams, user flows, journey maps, feature analysis, wireframes
Being a connector between users, stakeholders and developers, directed by product management
You need the following:
Ability to work autonomously as the sole designer in the development team as well as to collaborate with the product team and other UX designers.
Structured and systematic way of working
Comfortable with incorporating the UX design process into an agile development workflow
Being fluent in design thinking approach and defining problem statements as a process starting point
Good knowledge of essential design principles and patterns, ability to use a design system to develop mock-ups and prototypes
